JR Allen is a fun, vibrant and gregarious leader who believes opportunity is there for everyone who wants 
to go for it. JR, has always dreamed about being an entrepreneur since he was twelve years old. JR migrated to the United States when he was just eleven years old from Montego Bay, Jamaica. JR’s dream of entrepreneurship was strongly motivated by his mother, Hyacinth, who represents a tower of strength and friendship like no other.
After completing Evander Childs High School in the Bronx, New York, JR attended Queens Borough Community College in Bayside, New York. While attending Queens Borough Community College, JR pursued a career in Computer Technology. JR later switched his major to Business Administration as a result of his intense desire to be a successful entrepreneur.
After working at Alexander’s Department Store as a Stock Clerk to help pay for college tuition, JR accepted a position as payment acquisition specialist for American Creditor’s Bureau which launched his career into the corporate world. It wasn't long before JR became one of the top producers for the company. JR later accepted a position as a Junior Credit Analyst at Sony Broadcast of America, where he developed his strength of diversity as a result of traveling throughout North America.
After many successful years at Sony, JR was presented with an offer from Equitable Financial (AXA Equitable) where he quickly became one of the top producing agents at the OBI Agency at 2 Penn Plaza in New York City. Mr. Allen's enthusiasm for numbers and business was enhanced as a result of presenting a wide portfolio of financial products such as Annuities, Life, Disability and Health Insurance.
JR's zeal to contribute to his community in a more personal and efficient way motivated him to create his own mortgage and financial services company in 1992 called Reliable Financial Services. JR Allen was the first to host a mortgage and financial services based educational radio program on WVIP 93.5 FM in New York (June of 1994 to present) and has been a guest on many radio programs including The Bevon Springer Show on WLIB 1190 AM, Kiss Wake Up Club WRKS 98.7 Kiss FM, and TV shows such as Caribbean International Network. JR contributes money and volunteers his time to local community organizations such as the Bronx Soccer League, We Can Get Along Basketball Tournament, the 47th Precinct Clergy Coalition and serves on the executive board of Street Hype Newspaper.
JR is the proud father of 8 year old Jeremy Allen (a.k.a - little JR), and his 14 year old daughter Khalea. When JR is not speaking for companies, organizations, or consulting with clients, he enjoys reading entrepreneurial biographies, listening to inspirational audio programs, traveling, watching movies, going to church, spending time with family, cooking, playing and watching sports (especially soccer), raising money and awareness for Gabrielle Ayana Allen Foundation (named in loving memory JR Allen's daughter Gabrielle Ayana Allen who passed away April 27th, 2004 at age 7), one of his favorite charities.
